What's New?

For an RM... (Responsible Member) like myself (ok, Im working on it still, but a new twist on an old acronym is always good right?) there are a whole lot of things new. Well to be honest not as many as expected. But Im working on it alright?! I've got a job! That's new. Point for me! I've been spending lots of time with family. Sharing my testimony all along the way! Its been interesting to see how my mission has effected my ability to speak with those "scary strangers" I never would EVER in my craziest dreams talk to before my mission. Conversations come up easily and I am absolutely in LOVE with sharing this gift I have in my heart!

Its been a few days and it feels so different, but also so much the same! Crazy how time flies!

This week is crazy! Time flew by and its been so filled with miracles and I love it!

I måndags we had some finding activities to find our spot for our girls camp activity on saturday. It took us a while and a couple maps but we did find the perfect place. We were on our way back to change into our missionary clothes when we saw this couple moving scaffolding from one house to the next. They didn't see happy at all. So we stopped and asked if we could help them. They only had a few pieces left, so of course they declined our help but the Spirit was there and their faces reflected that. He smiled and said thanks anyway. It was a special experience to me because it was so little, to just ask someone if we could help but it made their day. Now they wave when we ride past. Its great!

i tisdags we were able to visit Hans in Bie for the first time with Syster Ridl. He has been busy so its been difficult to get ahold of him. But on the bus out there we picked up Sister Palomino. She came and sat with us on the bus. There used to be a bigger language barrier but there isnt anymore and so its great. We are able to talk and understand eachother. As we were going through a grove of trees I noticed how much they had changed since last week when we came to Bie. Right away it reminded me of how everything in the world wittnesses of God. It really hit me, I never thought of the seasons like that before but it was so apparent to us both. With Hans we talked about the Spirit again. He has been praying and reading. He had a few questions but it seems like he has really got a hold of the seed of faith. Im excited to see it grow. With the bus schedule and our appointment going long we missed the bus. He showed us some pictures from the historic badhus in Bie and insisted that we go and see. So we did. He gave us some apples and they were the craziest apples I have ever seen. They were so white the skin was practically see through. They were like the texture of styrofoam. It was yummy. We came home and ate lunch, did studies before going to meet Alex. We had called him and he told us that he was just lazy and thats why he hadnt answered the phone or sms. It frustrated us a little bit but we set up another appointment with him because he wanted to and then he didnt even come. Its frustrating because he just doesnt actively persue anything. We were then able to visit Cat, who has been sick and since our sunday was so full we were not able to visit her. She is a sweet lady and really wants to get to the temple. Tithing is the only thing thats holding her back.

I onsdags was a bit of a random day because our normal days for planning this week was taken over by a lot of other things so we did a bit of weekly planning on wednesday as well as preparing my talk for sunday. Rosmery could finally meet so we were able to be there. They were so cute as they got their calander for family prayer that we gave Angelina about a month ago and it was completely full with stickers. Meaning they had prayed every night that month. It was a special experience. Leif is still a little standoffish towards the gospel but he is still very nice with us and still supports Rosmery 100%. We are going to try to find out whats holding her back next time. We had a youth activity where Myriam and Cynthia came. They wanted to play an american card game so we taught them scum and really enjoyed it. They told us that they appriciate us taking time to be with them. It was a nice reminder that they do care about us as well.

I torsdags we had a great district meeting about the Armor of God. As the others got here I saw one of our investigators on the street that we havent had much contact with for the last month so I introduced Syster Ridl and talked with him for a while. His name is Michael, he is somewhat interested in our church and has learned lots from living in Utah about our church. He says the only thing wrong with our church is its doctrine and not changing. It was a bit commical. We will see how it all goes down. Syster Hill gave it and we talked more specifically of how we can have our invesitigators more fully put on the armor. It was really awesome to do! Amber met us after district meeting so we could show her the place and nail in the last nails for our Personal Progress day on saturday. We were invited to the Relief Society activity where Lotta showed us all how to crochet these little animals. It was super cute and we were able to strengthen the members there in their talent building. We then went to Amina's as she wanted to feed us. She wasnt home so we were hungry and got to fend for ourselves at home.

I fredags we had time to make sure our members who were helping with our activites were ready to go and it was great. Amber had a few things she had forgot so we helped her with that before meeting with the Palominos for dinner at there place. They are awesome. A nephew is staying with them Edwardo and he seems to be interested in church. Fernando clarified things to him in Spanish and then he came to church with Augustine and Fran as well.

I lördags our activity went awesome! It started off slow but ended full blown! Our Young Women are busy but all those who are active attended and we had a non member there the whole day who loved it and she wants to come to activities now. (Clara) Our members were very responsive in all aspects and that made the day all the more better. They wrote handwritten letters to the girls for our Individual Worth activity. Marita came and talked about emergency preparedness, camping and salvation. Amber made an awesome relay race for our Divine Nature. Lotta came and helped us with Good Works and taught us how to make hearts for kids in the hospital. Maria came and talked about Integrity and Virtue. The spirit was present and the girls really enjoyed it.

Igår was a more difficult day. A time to say goodbye I guess you could say. We had Hans and Lars-Inge surprise me by being at church. It was a sweet experience. I was the last speaker and it was a unique feeling knowing that this was the last time I'd be in this position. We were then able to teach Young Womens because Amber caught the flu. We watched Finding Faith in Christ and it was a special spirit there as well. We gave Clara a Book of Mormon at the end and she accepted it graciously and gave me a big hug. Brought some tears in my eyes. It was a sweet experience. I hope she continues to come. Myriam invited us over for Flygande Jakob which I had never eaten before so she taught us how to make it. It was delicious but a little bit weird. We then met with Cat and Jock to say goodbye and write in my buddy book. They then offered to cook us lunch tomorrow so we will be seeing them on tuesday.

Challenge time! There is so much that we can spend our time doing. Time is one of the most precious gifts we have been given, are we using it for the most important things? Its something that Ive been assessing lately and its easy to get off track but with repentance and effort its even easier to get it back.

Love you all so much! Thank you for your continued support throughout my mission. Its been one of the most rollarcoastic time of my life but I wouldnt change a day of it for the world! Its awesome. Its weird to close this for the last time. I guess Ill see you soon!

This last week was so full of adventures it was crazy. A busy week makes for time flying and its all too crazy to think about!

Last Monday we had a planned lesson with Alex but he never showed up and he never responded. We still are not sure what is wrong there. But at the same time as he ditched us we realized an entirely important element was missed during shopping. Toilet paper. So we decided that on the way to visit our next appointment Amina. We would stop by a nearby store and pick some up. Now I just imagine the swedish population seeing this happening. Two syster missionaries in skirts with helmets booking it up through the parking lots on their bikes passing a group of 3 men speaking english, when one turns and yells, "Hey, you guys are American Mormon missionaries! Get over here and talk to us!" After a bit of deliberation and a couple silent prayers we decided to go talk with them. Turns out they had been contacted before and recognized us. Robert, Kelvin and James all have met the missionaries and wanted us to answer some of their questions. It was unexpected but it seemed we were being lead by the Spirit. We dont usually go to that store either! Robert invited us to dinner that night at his place with his wife and daughter. We had another appointment but we are working it out to visit them soon. We then were able to visit Amina. She always has the most unique questions. This time it was a bit more about prayer. We watched "Finding Happiness" and it was a bit too advanced swedish for her so we clarified it and talked about the stories in the book that she is still reading. It was nice to see that she is beginning to understand some of the differences we have.

I tisdags we were asked if we could meet with Amber and talk about our Personal Progress activity so that we can be together on things and be ready for it. We were finally able to meet with Annick. She has been away from church for a couple months and we have had a hard time getting into contact with her. She is our Young Womens president so we wanted to make sure she felt included in this activity. When we were there it was a sweet experience as we heard that she had been meeting members as she is on her way here or there and they all express how much they miss her. Then also our Ward Mission leader has sent cards to invite them back and members SMS her and tell her she is missed. She got a bit emotional about it and told us that it is only the lack of work and popularity of them calling her in to work on sundays that keeps her from coming. She is very excited that we have this activity planned and is also planning to attend!

I onsdags we had an opportunity to do some more service for Jock and Cat. They are in the process of moving and both got really sick with some necessary items still at the old place. We were able to help get those to them and clean up the apartment a bit as a surprise so they wont have to stress as much once they are feeling healthy again. With our Youth Activity, they now are in institute so they wanted to do a pizza night. They all signed up to bring things and it worked out well all at the church. Amber was able to come and attend as well. The Young Women really enjoy these activities we are just trying to come up with activities that the young men would like to attend. We thought pizza would certainly get their attention but it did not.

I torsdags we had an awesome Zone Meeting. Its pretty much zone conference without the leadership as President and the Assisstents. Now I have always had a really difficult time with role plays. Pretty much my entire mission I have struggled with it. I had the opportunity to do splits and role play with Syster Winterton. It was a very special experience. I ended up being my own investigator, (which I hadnt ever done before) and she followed up and we really felt the spirit as we tried to resolve his concern about baptism.

I fredags, after a great weekly planning session we were able to visit the Palominos. They are always so willing to feed us and have us over so we were a bit worried about how to get them to church again. They live a 20 minute bus ride away and have 5 kids and so its a bit difficult to take the bus system. We came with the idea of talking about things we do to strengthen our faith and a talk from the september liahona. It really helped as after dinner we discussed the things that they recognized as faith strengtheners. The traditional answers were given and then sacrament attendance was brought up and partaking of that great ordinance. We have invited them every time to come to church but it hasnt ever been accepted really. So we talked with the kids about it and as we were leaving Augustine made a point to say,  "See you on sunday!" It was a sincere prayer that they would be able to make it. This time we made it to the bus stop in time and made the bus home which we were thankful for.

I lördags, the final preparations for our personal progress night and a few appointments cancellations. We were a while away from home and it began raining. It was a bit depressing, no one was out and then the power was out in the building we walked in to. It was a bit of a sad day.

Igår we saw a bunch of miracles! The Palominos came! Mariela, Maria-Fernanda, Fransisca, and Augustine all came together. We had our branch counsel and got a lot of feed back and help planned for our investigators and with our Personal Progress activity. Syster Ridl was able to help translate in young womens and I was able to be in Sunday School and help strengthen our members. We set up times this week to meet with our Ward Mission Leader and Ulf and Birggita. Solveig took us to Högsjö so we could teach her husband Lars-Inge. He is awesome, just having a difficult time understanding the love of God and Christ. He doesnt see how it could work. Lars and Annalie came and ate with us there. We had a nice time teaching with them and then being able to strengthen them as they drove us to the church afterwards.

So many miracles and awesome adventures being had here in Katrineholm its tough to get it all in in a simple letter. But the short of it is its a blessing to be here and working so hard and seeing miracles happen. Its great! Love you guys tons! Hope you all have a great week and you find somebody to serve. Its pretty crazy to think about sometimes how rushed we are to get things done. But I know that if we slow down a little bit and pray for a chance to serve someone you will always find those opportunites! (thats a challenge btw!)

Wowzers does this time thing never slow done. It seems everyday I turn around and look at the calendar and its again time to write to you guys! I love it but at the same time that is a constant reminder of how fast this end is really going to go. But enough with that stuff. On to the miracles of this past week!

We had a bit of girls camp revelation as the weather this week took an unexpected dip in temperature. The girls in our branch are not used to camping. So we decided to plan a day activity that will be focused on Personal Progress and the values there with a testimony around a campfire to end the evening. We nailed the plans down with Amber and with the Branch President as well. Its going to be awesome. The branch was really responsive and we are looking forward to the adventure!

Alex admitted to having some feelings. He has felt anger and he has felt family so we worked on recognizing the Spirit! It was interesting to have ideas from President Kearon on thursday. During Zone Conference we had a really cool spiritual experience as we both thought the same things to help Alex with. We look forward to meeting with him tonight. It will be good.

Rosmery has been busy but we are visiting them this week and they have been praying as a family still which was great news to hear! Wednesday we helped Jock and Cat move. It was interesting because the branch couldnt help because they did it during the day so we got to do a lot of moving. Down 2 flights of stairs 3 blocks walking and up 3 flights of stairs with no car or anything. They were very kind to us and we were really able to lighten their burden quite a bit until the branch president came with a car and we were than able to move the furniture! Thursday and friday i spent in Stockholm. I was able to visit a less active with Syster Sprague and then have dinner with a member before calling it a night after zone conference. Then on Friday Syster Spjut and I went and had a great time at Zone Leader Counsel. It was great! It really opened by eyes to the awesomeness it is to be a missionary in Sweden at this point in time. Its great! Miracles are happening everywhere.

Challenge for this week! Count your blessings and make a list. No matter the tough time you are having in your life you are bound to smile when you notice the blessings you are already recieving!

Transition

Well this week was a bit of transition if I do say so myself. 

I måndags we had many lessons during our pday so Syster Spjut could say goodbye. We had lunch with Myriam and were able to talk a bit about Personal Progress. We are going to work on getting the young women excited about doing it. I have a great testimony of it. We then visited the Palominos for dinner. It was nice to be with them again. They are so nice to us. We usually have to run to the bus afterwards in order to catch the last bus back to Katrineholm. We ended early so everyone thought we would make it to the bus except it came early. We then decided that we would have to walk home. We started and then decided it was going to be late before we would actually make it back. So we called Marita and she came and picked us up. We were certainly thankful for that.

I tisdags we made our way back to Bie to visit Hans. He had been to church the week before and he really enjoyed it. He also recieved a card from our ward mission leader and it really impressed him. He is working on recognizing the Spirit so we talked a lot about that and gave him the part of the lesson in Preach my Gospel with the list of scriptures because he was unsure how it would feel to feel the spirit. He always talks about how he feels the same feeling in any church. We had the opportunity to go out with Marita and she showed us the more cultural part of Katrineholm and it was very interesting. We learned a lot about the culture from her. We didnt know that back in the day there was taxes on all mirrors over a certain demension so that is why a split mirror is so common in sweden. Leif and Rosmery wanted to say goodbyes as well so we went to their house and they showed us a beautiful nature spot here and we were able to talk a bit more about the Spirit with them as well. 

I onsdags we had an interesting day. I was eaten by mosquitoes and had to buy some more medicine for that after we got my new companion! Syster Ridl is great, we get along well. I was feeling a bit sick so we did some studies and organized our apartment and we also talked a lot about the people here and spent some time in our area book together. 

I torsdags we had district meeting in Norrköping. We talked a lot about contacting and got some new ideas to try out. Did some role plays and it was great. We came home and had a great lesson with Alex about faith from Alma 32. I think we found the issue in his faith. He doesnt have enough faith yet to do something. He is struggling so we are working on following the 10 commandments. We got to talk with a few people and made our way home.

I fredags we did planning and got to talk with our ward mission leader Alf and Maria. Its been great! They have a great attitude about the work and really do all they can. Its great. We talked with a bunch more people throughout the day and found out that we were going to give talks on sunday.

I lördags we did service with Kat and prepared our lessons for sunday. She is moving and really needed help so we are organizing something further for next week. The Forsmans invited us over and gave us dinner. We discussed specifics for Girls camp with our girls. We had a lot of great discussion.

I sondags our talks went well. I was a bit nervous it was ridiculous. I got done and my mouth was super dry. We were able to attend sunday school and to young women. After church we met with Åke and talked more about the Girls camp adventure. We are still in planning mode. Cat asked us to come visit her and share a message because she was feeling down so we did. She is worried about her family situation so we were able to help her feel better. We made cupcakes to take to our next appointment who cancelled. 

Its pretty crazy how fast time flies. Im so thankful that we can work hard for this time and do all we can to further the work. Its a bunch of blessings that we are able to help share with others. We are all so blessed to have the knowledge that we have of the gospel.

Surprised!

Another week and another wonderful adventure in Katrineholm! No mattter how much stuff you cram stuff into a day the time just goes by so fast! I can hardly believe its within the month mark! Absolute CRAZINESS!

I måndags we had a bit of a chill pday and just took care of all the things that we needed to get done. Our evening plans cancelled on us so we were able to finish our weekly planning session with companionship inventory. We were able to also talk a bit about training and ideas that we have liked and appriciated and things that were more obstructive. It was nice to be able to look back a bit and give some ideas on what could help. Training is a great opportunity to grow in love and service for other people. I think she will be awesome!

I tisdags we were surprised with a phone call during our language study from President Newell. Unexpectedly we are being transfered. Syster Spjut will be going to Örebro and I will be staying here with Syster Ridl. I wish we could have had a picture taken with our reactions to the call. It was pretty somber looking with a bit of a shock because we thought we were to stay together until I go home, but, I guess inspiration is a great reason to be split early. This next month is going to be great! After working through a few situations we had regarding this week we went out to Flen to visit Majvor. She was adorable and made us soup. She is such an incredible woman. We were able to talk with her about the blessings she has seen in her life from the gospel. Syster Spjut asked to play her piano and we ended up singing her favorite hymn. She kept talking about how she is not musically talented but she likes music so we sang "A Poor Way faring man of Grief" and by the last verse she was smiling so big and singing right along with us. It was a tender moment to share with her. She is a great woman with some spunk! We then had to catch a train back to Katrineholm and have a lesson with Alex. This time we focused on the Atonement and Christ. We watched Finding Faith in Christ and shared Doctrine and Covenants 19:15-20. It was a very spiritually uplifting experience for us all. I was reminded of so many different things during the lesson. As I began talking about how the price is already paid so we don't have to suffer the analogy came to mind about how Syster Spjut and I are at a steak house eating dinner and there is a plate just for you. Its already paid for and you are free to eat it but, instead you decide to sit on the ground and eat the grass. It's our choice to take part of the gift of the Atonement. The suffering has already been done and there is no need for us to do it anymore. Alex was able to understand and feel the spirit. He has commited to work on following more commandments and praying more often. With the big surprise of transfers we stopped by the Forsman's on the way home to let them know. They were sad but certainly know that its all for a bigger reason, we just can't see it now.

I onsdags We went and visited the Palominos during the day in an attempt to serve them and give a message. Syster Palomino was having a stressful day after not being able to sleep very well. So we washed dishes and I helped Francisca with her room. They missed us singing in church last week and wanted us to sing for them. (They are really musical) So we sang, it was so cute as little Laura said, "Yayaya 1, 2, 3 igen!" She wanted us to sing again so she pushed us back together and opened the hymn book back up. It was a great opportunity to just help out a little bit. We then had our youth activity. We had multiple visitors so we did various sorts of cupcakes and split up to ding dong ditch them for people in the branch. We ended up having some fun experiences with that as well. We did a special delivery for Åsa as to say goodbye with Syster Spjut. She really levelled with us as she shared how she felt around and about us. It was nice to see someone feel the love that we actually have for each person we meet. She said its been easy to open up because she feels that we care and want to help. It was great.

I torsdags it was an adventure to the train station. We had to print out our tickets and there was a line as we approached the machine. By the time it was our turn we had 2 and a half minutes to print it out run down a bazillion stairs over two tracks and up a bazillion more stairs. Man we booked it and thankfully we made it! District meeting was great and we learned a lot about recognizing the Spirit in conversion. It was an answer to many prayers. I learned a lot and was able to practice it and use it with lessons with both Ulf and Birgitta and with Leif and Rosmery. We held two different family home evenings and they went really well. We cleared up an issue with Leif thinking that we believe in the trinity and it seemed to lighten things up a bit. We were at the presidents house and they helped in bearing testimony of the Holy Ghost and living by example. It was great!

I fredags we did a bit multitasking as we updated our area book, planned for next week, and packed for syster Spjut. We also found out last night that the branch wanted us to sing again so we orgainized a practice that evening to prepare a little bit more than last week.

I lördags we had a fantastic opportunity to travel to Södertälje for an amazing baptism. It was Dubi and Tutta, Syster Pool and DeTinne-Cassel were there because Lasse (from Jönköping) went to the temple for the first time and they were able to stop by. The spirit was so strong and I was able to talk with Lasse about learning the gospel and how things had changed. Miracles do happen! We made it to our train back to town and  Myriam was on the train and so we were able to talk with her about scriptures study and things.

I söndags was our grens konferens! It was a day of many miracles here! We had four investigators attend church! Lars-Inge came with his wife and daughter! Alex came and sat with the Forsmans. Angelina and Rosmery came and sat in the back with Lars-Inge because the chairs were all full. Steffan came with Maria and Alf and it was amazing! I hadnt ever seen our chapel so busy. As it was getting closer to begin I was standing still and I was just filled with so much love for all of the people here. Its crazy how much we really do love these people and are able to share our love with them through helping them understand Christs Gospel. We had a branch activity pretty much afterwards as we all ate food together and cleaned up together. We are so blessed here to have so many people who love eachother and this Gospel. We were invited over to Leif’s and Rosmery's afterwards and Leif said his first prayer! It was adorable. He's been investigating for 7 years and he said his first prayer yesterday! Angelina said the first one and thanked Heavenly Father that her Dad was going to pray next. She really is being lead by the spirit here. We were so thankful to see some light at the end of the tunnel that he seemed to be heading down.

Challenge time! Its been hard for me to come up with one this week. All I know is that if we share a bit more love with those around us miracles happen. The second we are real people to our investigators and they see us as a friend we are able to help them more. I know that as we allow Christ to be that friend and rely on him a little bit more than we do ourselves we can accomplish all of the things that he would have us do! SO this week give it a try and see what happens! Love your neighbor and rely on the Lord. Without 

any doubts you will see a change in the world and in yourself!

Service is Key

This week has been an interesting week of travel and some upset stomachs and lots of teaching! In other words its been great!

I onsdags we had our first Zone Meeting. It was kind of like President Andersons "Sharpening". It was great! They talked about Alma being rejected and leaving Ammonihah and being commanded to go back another way. We got some great ideas for another way in our attempt for the Summer of Seventy! It really boosted us up and brought the goal again into grasps! We role played a bunch and then got out on the streets to try it out! It was great to see how other missionaries do things. I went out with Syster Sprague and we were able to teach a woman who was somewhat interested at first but once the Book of Mormon was brought up she wanted little to do with what we were saying. The spirit was present as we testified of the Book of Mormon but she wouldn't have it. She told us she would throw it away. I couldn't help but be hurt as I saw someone who was so kind and such a follower of Christ deny a chance to have more faith. It hurt but I hope she gets another chance.

We had to make it back to Stockholm from Västerhanginge so we didn't have lunch with them. We caught both of the trains and headed home. We got back and had a great discussion about things we can do on our level to help reach this goal. We had a youth activity and were going to go around and do a picture scavenger hunt but hardly anyone came. We were able to talk with Myriam about Young Women and found out that they haven't had a girls camp. It was supposed to be this next week but there was an accident where they were planning on going and now it was cancelled. I learned so much those times I was attending girls camp. I wonder if we can make something happen for them.

I torsdags we actually were able to get all of our studies in this morning before catching a bus out to Bettna. We visited Eleonora again because she wanted to make us swedish pancakes. It's a pleasant experience to go and visit her but it always takes so much out of our day and we end up being sick afterward. Not sure why yet. We are doing the new member lessons with her still and we talked about the Plan of Salvation. She pretty much understands it but she had a different idea about accepting Christ. Evidently the world accepted the Savior in 1987 and when we tried to explain how it's been our choice from the beginning she got defensive and angry. It was a little disheartening and we were not entirely sure what to do. We continued on in the conversation and she relaxed again. On the way home we were both praying for each other because neither of us felt well. Luckily we were able to make it to Katrineholm and bike home so as to use the restroom. It must have been something we ate because we were pretty ill. We had an appointment with Åsa and she is begining to go into depression so we focused on helping her to see the happy things and laugh a little. She is very open with us and we plan on heart attacking her or something so as to help her be happy!

I fredags was a bit of an experience of following the Spirit. We had a youth who wanted to attend a dance and had a ride back but not too. Since it was a last minute ticket we got it for cheap and were able to help her get there. We both just felt like it was something we should do. So we stopped by her house to give her the ticket. She came to the door with a bloody napkin in her hand and blood dripping from it. We came in as she explained she was cleaning and doing her chores when a vase fell and she tried to catch it as it shattered. She had no first aid kit and had to clean everything up, shower and pack still before catching the train in about an hour. We bandaged her up with what we had with us and told her to shower as we cleaned up the glass and such. We booked it home got a first aid kit with some medicine and were able to make it back in time to fix her hand and begin the walk to the station. She had to get a jacket from Solveig who was around the block. We walked with and she was able to get her jacket and run to the train. Solveig always takes care of us and insisted that we eat lunch with her or that she pay for our lunch. Instantaneously we were payed back for the money we had spent on the ticket for money for food. She didn't have time so she left us to get lunch. She is so sweet! We began planning after lunch and made our way back in town to catch the bus to Bie. The Palaminos were just as normal and we really enjoyed our time with them. We talked about music, because they all have a soft spot for music and shared Doctrine and Covenants 25:12 about how music can be a prayer. It was cool to see their faces light up as we talked about that. We then invited them to come listen to us sing on Sunday and it sounded like they were going to come. We were looking forward to it. 

I lördags was a bit of a crazy day as well. We met Leif and Rosmery at church early to help them clean it. Solveig was out of town and asked if we could fill in. We thought it would be an opportunity to teach them. It ended up not so for Leif. After walking into the building he talked about how nice it felt to walk into the building for the last time. He had made the decision to stop the 7 year experiment and said it would be his last time in church. He is going to go to Svenska Kyrkan and take Angelina there with him because they have children there. It felt like a knife went straight through our hearts! We really love this family and to hear that broke our hearts. We know he will realize the truth but want him to just know it now instead of experiencing it for himself. We cleaned with Rosmery and mentioned about singing as well and she thanked us for mentioning it because she wasn't going to come but now she will. We were super thankful that it came up in conversation. We went home did studies and lunch before doing a bit more planning and then heading to Flen to talk with Alf and Maria. They are awesome and such a powerhouse of strength. We talked about the ward and how much they want to wake them up and get them to church as our percentages of member attendance is pretty bad. About 30% of our members actually attend. We felt like we were strengthened and that they are willing to help us out in anyway possible. It was great! We made it back in town to travel to Aminas. On the way there we saw a woman balancing a huge package on her bike seat with bags full of packages and decided to help. Turns out it was Amber! She had come back from Stockholm with lots of presents for her kids birthdays. We were able to help her up the stairs of her apartment with the packages and keep them hidden from the kids. Which reminded us we needed to practice with Mike so we set up time after our meeting with Amina to do so. Amina is muslim and we help her occassionally with her swedish. She is reading the Book of Mormon storybook in swedish and we help her that way. We asked if we could end with a prayer and she said yes. Then afterward she asked about the specifics of prayer and we were able to teach her a bit about it. It really felt great too. She asked about Amen because they use amen as well. It was cool to see how the commonality of prayer opened the conversation up to more spiritual things.

Igår was a day of miracles! We had our Branch Counsel and were able to take some things up to the ward about our investigators and got some help with it all. We then practiced once with Mike playing and got a glass of water. As we walked out of the kitchen we heard a familiar voice! It was Hans! Our investigator who just recently quit snusing came to church! We were so excited we could jump for joy! As the meeting began Rosmery and Angelina came in and Alex as well. We had been praying that the spirit would be present through our song and throughout the meeting and boy was it. The speakers spoke to the hearts of our investigators and we all felt the spirit. I was able to teach primary second hour because our primary president was out of town. We talked about keeping the Sabbath day holy and Moses and his manna. It went well and we drew activities that we can do on Sunday to keep it holy. After church Eleonora had come to second hour and wanted to play a game with us after church so we did. She invited Alex as well. It was interesting. By that time we were starving so we went and ate dinner before visiting Cat. She is still a bit stressed. We talked about Christ and showed her a song "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. We talked about what would we do if we opened our front door to leave and Christ was standing there. It was a neat experience to think about. Finally we finished weekly planning and got our area book updated. 

Idag we have cleaned and washed our clothes and apartment, almost done with emailing and soon to go shopping for groceries! Gotta love a busy pday! But time is going by so fast there is no time to waste!
